The dysfunction in Washington has become so bad, that for the second time this year, I have wondered if I will have enough money to cover, not only for my bills, but my mother's. You see, without her Social Security, she will not be able to cover all of her bills. This is happening at kitchen tables, all around the nation today.
I wonder what will happen to people who don't have children who are in a position to help. If the United States defaults, we will have economic consequences. Since we have never been there before, no one can predict the scope or length of those consequences.
