America's Dirty Little Secret--Motivated In Ohio
I was on Twitter yesterday, and I was looking at #Americandream. Most people's American Dreams, were to be able to take care of their families, have healthcare, and not to have our democracy sold to the highest bidder.
Many Americans are now simply in survival mode, with little hope of things changing. This was dramatically shown when over one million people applied at McDonald's for 62,000 jobs. Speculation in oil by the Koch brothers and others have driven up gas prices. Food speculation is running rampant. Deregulation and "Free Markets" have failed us. It is time for us to take a different direction. We need to shout it from the roof tops, write our elected officials, and quit blaming the person who actually has some benefits left.

Right Wing and Fascism Yesterday and Today
Before WWII, The right wing of the Republicans, wanted to stay out of the war, so that they could do business with Hitler, pappy Koch was working with Stalin on Oil.
They even had their own mascot for religion, Father Charles Coughlin, the antisemetic priest, filled the airwaves with a vitriol that is only rivaled by Beck and Limbaugh today. He even went so far as to promote the theories of Hitler and Mussolini. The current economy and political landscape is very much the same.
This isn't new. But it seems since we didn't learn anything from history, we are doomed to repeat it.

Robert Reich Explains Why We Need More Socialism, Generally
In the last ten years we have had the greatest redistribution of wealth, from poor and middle class, to the ultra rich. We gave the rich a tax cut, and jobs weren't created, deficits were. Since we paid for the rich peoples tax cuts, they can pay for our deficit.
Without the Bush tax cuts, there would be no deficit. It would have been paid off by now.

GOP Cuts To Food Aid For Seniors And Food Banks Equals One Day Of Bush Tax Cuts For Millionaires | ThinkProgress
This shows where are priorities are as a nation. To keep the Bush Tax cuts for the wealthy, this is what we have to give up. I for one would rather see an elderly or shut in get a meal, than have the Koch Brothers keep more money, so they can fund our politicians into believing that pollution is good.

Disqus Topic of the Day--June 15--Taking care of Our Home (Combating Pollution)
"Polluted drinking waters are a problem for about half of the world’s population. Each year there are about 250 million cases of water-based diseases, resulting in roughly 5 to 10 million deaths."
"Death is Not the Only Toll of Exposure to Pollutants
Pollution causes chronic illness, neurological damage and shortened lifespan. For instance, the presence of lead in children lowers I.Q. by an estimated 4-7 points for each increase of 10 μg/dL.3 Our database identifies populations around the globe with blood lead levels ranging from 50 -100 μg/dL, up to 10 times the WHO reference levels for protection against neurological damage."

How the Right Views Liberals
So, I did a search on why people like Fox News and what the right thinks about liberals. The results were chilling.
1. They believe we kill babies. (I assume that is because we leave the abortion question up to the woman, not the government.) I haven't seen any liberals, rounding up women and forcing them to have abortions, and not all the women who have abortions are liberal.
2. They believe that Liberals do not contribute more to charity. I know Ann Coulter has been saying this for years, but I haven't found anything to back it up. Check out Rick Perry's charitable donations
3. They believe that all Liberals are Atheists. Just because we don't hate people who question faith, doesn't mean that none of us have it. We believe that is a personal choice.
4. They think that Liberals hate people who are successful. While most Liberals do want the well off to pay at least the same percentage of income in tax, that the median income pays, (I think they should pay more) we all want success, we just don't always agree on what it is. A teacher, who doesn't make great financial gains, can be more of a success, than a billionaire. We also, don't want people with tons of money, starting "grass roots" organizations, to pollute our planet, and take away our rights.
I understand, a little better what these people think, but most of them are not rich, they are following Ralph Reed. Watch This for more information on him. Or following Ayn Rand.

A Few Words About the Republican Platform--BigGuyDon
To the Elderly: "Two years ago we tried to scare you about a plan that had little to no impact on you, just widened the group of Americans that will get the same services you are already on. Now, we are championing a plan that actually will take services away from and open you up to paying for your own costs at the time when you can least afford it and are most likely to need it. Oh, and we're doing all this so we can lower taxes on the rich (again). But vote for us because 'Obamacare' sounds so scaaaaaaarrry".
I think the tag line for Ryan's plan should be "this plan won't need death panels because Granny's death is built right into the plan".
