The Wisconsin legislature is finalizing a bill to close ten Department of Motor Vehicle centers located in Democratic districts within the state. The money saved will be used to extend operating hours at DMV centers in Republican districts. You're My Best Friend Lyrics - Queen
Ooh, you make me live
Whatever this world can give to me
It's you, you're all I see
Ooh, you make me live now honey
Ooh, you make me live
Oh, you're the best friend
That I ever had
I've been with you such a long time
You're my sunshine
And I want you to know
That my feelings are true
I really love you
(Ooh) Oh, you're my best friend
Ooh, you make me live
Ooh, I've been wandering round
But I still come back to you (still come back to you)
In rain or shine
You've stood by me girl
I'm happy at home (happy at home)
You're my best friend
Ooh, you make me live
Whenever this world is cruel to me
I got you, to help me forgive - oo oo ooh
Ooh, you make me live now honey
Ooh, you make me live
Oh, you're the first one
When things turn out bad
You know I'll never be lonely
You're my only one
And I love the thing
I really love the things that you do
Oh, you're my best friend
Oh, ooh, you make me live
I'm happy (happy at home)
You're my best friend
Oh, oh, you're my best friend
Ooh, you make me live
Oo oo ooh

Raw Politics: Corzine, Fiorina on Debt Ceiling Debate
Carly Fiorina should change her name to Marie Antoinette. Watch this piece on CNN and you'll hear her blast President Obama for daring to consider allowing a modest tax increase on a household with an income above $250,000. She then illustrates her point by pointing out this increase would severely penalize, for example, a married couple like a nurse and fire fighter. My guess is there is no where in America where a typical couple consisting of a nurse and a fire fighter would make a quarter of a million dollars a year. Either Fiorina smokes funny cigarettes or she spends all her time hanging out at the club with her corporate buddies. Cake anyone? --Cletis Stump

Poll shows Kasich not the firewall to another Obama win in Ohio he wanted to be - Columbus Government | Examiner.com
COLUMBUS, Ohio (CGE) - Last year, candidate John Kasich made a case that electing him would help erect a firewall to a second term for President Barack Obama. Kasich won a close election because he got less than half of the vote of a turnout of less than half of registered voters, or just 23.5 percent of total voters. The man he beat, Ted Strickland, a Democrat who won big in 2006 along with other Democrats for the first time in over a decade, would, if another election were held today, beat Kasich by far more than the approximately 77,000 votes Kasich beat Strickland by last year.

Our Poor People Didn't Cause This Mess--Motivated In Ohio
The poorer people of America did not vote for the Bush Tax Cuts, they did not start the War of choice in Iraq, they did not gamble with mortgage backed securities.
Our Seniors did not choose to leave loopholes open so that Medicare Part D was unfunded.
So why are these people being asked to pay for all of this? Average Americans are strapped to the breaking point. Jobs have gone overseas, leaving millions unemployed. One million people applied for 60,000 jobs at McDonald's. We need to stand up for the poor and the elderly. If we don't stand now, why are we involved at all?

As Kasich’s “Jobs” Budget becomes law, Ohio’s unemployment starts rising again.
We’ve talked about how through February 2010 until April 2011, Ohio was on a consistent fourteen-month streak of seeing its unemployment rate drop every month. That was second only to the streak that began in 1983 in terms of longest consecutive streak of consistently dropping monthly unemployment rates in Ohio. The streak ended in May when Ohio’s unemployment rate stayed the same as it did in April. Read More Here

Grover Norquist's Culture of Corruption | The Nation
Grover Norquist is once again playing kingmaker, determining not just the direction of the Republican Party but of the entire US economy. His anti-tax zealotry has made it virtually impossible for Republicans to cut a sensible deal to raise the debt ceiling. But just yesterday, Norquist seemingly flip-flopped and said that the expiration of the Bush tax cuts would not violate his anti-tax pledge, leaving the door open to Republicans supporting a “grand bargain” deal to cut spending, lower corporate taxes and restructure Social Security and Medicare, which sounds like an awfully good offer for the GOP (for Democrats, not so much). The White House is using Norquist to bolster its case while every reporter in Washington is amplifying his words. Norquist has since walked his original statement back. Read More Here

No New "Taxes" on The Poor or Elderly--Motivated In Ohio
The Republicans always want to go after Social Security and Medicare. At the same time, they are keeping loopholes for corporate jet owners and other people of means.
But, by making the poor pay more of their health care costs, aren't they enacting a "tax" on poverty? People who have worked all of their lives and are now in their "golden years", do not need to have their Medicare or Social Security slashed, they are barely making it as it is. They have paid their FICA taxes (Federal Insurance Contribution Act). A promise was made.
Social Security is not adding to the deficit. It doesn't need to be changed except to have the salary cap raised. Medicare, should be able to bargain for drug prices, like the VA does. This will cut costs considerably. Big Pharma doesn't need corporate welfare on the backs of our citizens.
Another tax on the poor has been put in place in the states. The Voter Id Laws. These laws cause many of the poor, the elderly and anyone else who may not have a state I.D. to pay for one in order to vote. In my opinion it is a poll tax, and thus illegal. Stop the "tax hikes" on the poor and the vulnerable.
